There is no question that people are looking for comfort foods to soothe themselves. It’s also undeniable that there is a trend toward moving our food supply in the direction of social consciousness. In a report put out by Whole Foods Market this week, this sentence caught my attention: "The Whole Foods Market report also emphasized growing concerns over animal welfare in the production of chicken and eggs, and the increased demand for nostalgic foods.”
As someone who has adopted a WFPB lifestyle ( and given I have completely changed the way I eat in the past 10 years), I took pause and asked myself; ‘do I even have nostalgic foods (which are often our comfort foods)?’
Healthy Breakfast Breads!
That’s when I realized, consciously or subconsciously, nostalgia has something to do with what flavors we make our Superloafs. While much healthier versions:
Our Apple Cinn Superloaf – is a current version of good old American Apple Pie;
Our Banana Nut Superloaf – this is the Banana Bread we used to have as a treat for breakfast;
Our Carrot Raisin Superloaf – this is the carrot cake that so many of us used to order for dessert. Feel free to top it with (non-dairy) cream cheese;
Our Choco Chip Superloaf – who doesn’t love a dense dark chocolate brownie?
We are here to support your choice to eat healthy, a more plant-centric diet, and a selection of nostaligic comfort foods that taste better than ever.
